Bauhaus Party

Friend of a friend is a partygoer
He smuggled me in on a plated vessel
An entrance surveyed
By a stoic fader
Relayed sobriquets
Till we got our ball back
By masses of transparently colored shifts
Acting as a sentimental constructivist
Friend till the end is a taxi dancer
Her aerial game, a veritable wonder
Amidst a worldly congress of shapes and souls
Our age demanded style days ago
Lights flash and scents spray the band
I’m decked out again
Freund meiner Freund is a door revolver
Her garments arrayed as provocative thunder
Fanged ornamental figures obscure from view
Brief color wheel reflections made of you
Flow back
Eyes on the gallery at long last
uniformed, unearthly ceiling swingers float above us
If you’d only look up
Lights flash and scents spray the band
I’m decked out as an amorphous monster
Conveyed through a hole in a manner reflecting our rather grotesque menage
Friend for pretend is a message blender
Our proprietor’s lost all his patience; the festival's over
Machine gunned cherry brandy bottles cast ‘round the room
While at a maximalist tension, our date concludes
And every daring red arrow points to an end

Other Worlds
03:11
|
|||
Listening to soundtracks of favorites like Pasternak's Dr. Zhivago
All of us often lay still as we’re watching and escape to the places that are found in
Other worlds
I visualize and forget you
I walk around in you now and then
Until I find the end somehow
Hundreds of sentient blinkers are wholly convinced that they’re living a nightmare
The dawn is revealed to be less than we feared
I’m tickled to death
Settled for less
I’m up to my neck in
Other worlds
I visualize and forget you
I walk around in you now and then
Until I find the end somehow
Time that we waste is a matter of taste
I know you’re still tickled to death
With your hand upon your hips
And your fingers to your lips
In other worlds
I visualize and forget you
I walk around in you now and then
Until I find the end somehow
Show us around
In other worlds

Box Kite
03:43
|
|||
Tighten up with your favorite
Close enough to the world that you want
Lean your head out in space and sail for a minute unaware
You were flailing at scale over the landing zone
Hold me in your hand
I’m happy just to stand here
We’re first to hit the bricks
Now we’re having fun
Holding a golden line
Dust off your box kite
Blasting off with your mouth full
Tied in knots seven days at a time
You were saved in a frame and filed for a while under stairs
When shown from a faded window, well, your mind went roaming wild
So hold me in your hand
I’m happy just to be here
We’re first to hit the bricks
Now we’re having fun
Glowing a golden hue
Dust off your box kite

A Man for All Seasons
04:46
|
|||
In place
centered
Heeled
Poised and genteel
Standing upright
Engaged
Jester
Feeling around in the dark
With light work in mind
I’ll wind me up tight
A man for all seasons
Well, what do we have here?
We can’t get enough
This place really has it all
I won’t let you down
As if I ever really could
You going to let me in, or leave me standing here
Waiting to come inside?
Hold the door
Misplaced
Stranger
Smiles
The first in awhile
It Won’t be the last
Displayed
Rancor
Explodes on the scene in a flash
Our segue is played
We’re all subject to change
A man for all seasons
Well, what do we have here?
We can’t get enough
This place really has it all
I won’t let you down
As if I ever really could
You going to let me in, or leave me standing here
Waiting to come inside?
Hold the door
Every entrance is frantic
Lest we forget we’re all new to this unveiling ourselves
A man for all seasons
Well, what do we have here?
We can’t get enough
This place really has it all
I won’t let you down
As if I ever really could
You going to let me in, or leave me standing here
Waiting to come inside?
